We started Merridale after ten years inside certified businesses, on the wrong end of audits that went badly because nobody could find the current version of anything. We sell no software and resell none. We write your policies, get them approved by someone allowed to approve them, and sit with you the morning the assessor arrives.
Most clients come to us after a first certification, when the documents written for the audit have quietly stopped matching how the business runs. That gap is what costs you a finding. We fix it by talking to the people doing the work, then keep it current on a schedule you can see. Two of us are former lead auditors.
- What they do
- Fractional compliance and handbook consultancy for organisations of 20 to 400 people, covering policy drafting, approval routing, annual review and the evidence pack an assessor asks for first.
- Who they help
- Small employers and multi-site operators carrying more than one standard at once, typically an ISO certification alongside UK GDPR duties. Strongest where a company has grown past the point that one person can hold the policy set in their head, but is not yet large enough to hire a compliance lead. Works retained, not project by project.
- How they work
- Retained monthly, with a fixed onboarding month. No per-seat licence; the client keeps the documents in whichever tool they already run.
