Articles Guest articles
Write for us, if you have something your own work taught you.
We publish guest articles that explain one standard, regulation or audit to the people who have to meet it. AI can help you write it. What we are buying is the part it cannot write: what you learned doing the work.

Who reads this
Owners of small businesses and compliance officers at mid-size ones, usually because a customer, a regulator or an auditor has just asked them for something. They are not specialists. Write for someone who needs to act this quarter, not for your peers.
What we publish
- One standard, regulation, audit or obligation, explained plainly.
- Something the reader can act on, dated to when it is true.
- Between 900 and 2,000 words, with question headings that open with their answer and a short list of takeaways near the top.
The one hard gate: original insight
You can use AI to draft and edit. We do not mind, and you tell us how you used it so we know. What we will not publish is an explainer anyone could produce from public text. Every accepted article carries at least one thing you know from your own work:
- an audit finding, with the client unnamed
- a mistake you keep seeing, and roughly how often
- a cost or delay you watched a business pay
- a process you tested and what happened
Our test is simple. If the article reads like a generic explainer once those parts are taken out, we decline it.
Accuracy
- Every claim about a standard or law cites the body that issued it, the statute itself, or the regulator. Law-firm blogs, Justia, Cornell LII, FindLaw and IAPP are not sources here.
- We check every date and figure before publishing. One wrong date is enough to send it back.
- Prices are the vendor's own published figure, or not mentioned.
- Where something could not be confirmed, the article says so in a short section of its own.
- Do not reproduce the text of a paid standard. Explain it in your own words and cite the clause.
What we decline
- Pitches for a product or service, including yours.
- "Top tools" lists, or comparisons that feature your own product.
- Anything written as legal advice.
- Hype, urgency and fear. Plain words only.
You, and your interests
- A real, named author with a one-line bio.
- If you sell a product or service related to the topic, we say so beside your byline.
- Up to two links to your own site: one in the bio, one in the body where it genuinely helps the reader.
Price, and how it is labeled
$150 per published article. Reading your pitch and reviewing your draft is free. You pay only once we accept the final text, and nothing if we decline it.
Because it is paid, a guest article is labeled Guest article, paid, and every link to your site carries rel="sponsored". That is Google's rule for paid links, and it protects this site and your own domain. If you are buying a followed backlink, this is not the place for it.
Rights and changes
- The article must be your own and not published elsewhere. You keep the copyright and give us a non-exclusive licence to publish it.
- We edit for accuracy, length and house style. You approve the final text, and we never change your meaning without asking.
- When a standard changes, we update or retire the article and record the change on our corrections log.
How it works
- Send a pitch below: a working title, a three-line outline, and what came from your own work.
- We reply within five working days, either asking for the draft or saying why not.
- You send the draft. We check it and send back any changes.
- Once we both approve the final text, we send a payment link for $150 and publish within two working days of payment.
