ISNetworld/Avetta
ISNetworld (ISN) and Avetta are commercial contractor prequalification platforms, not standards. Hiring clients in oil and gas, utilities, chemicals, mining, manufacturing, and facilities management require their contractors to subscribe, upload safety, insurance, and financial information, and meet the client's grading criteria before they can bid or enter a site.
ISN's Review and Verification Services (RAVS) team reviews each contractor's written health, safety, and environmental programs against regulatory requirements (mostly OSHA) and client-specific expectations and grades each program A, B, or F; Avetta runs a similar document review with client-configured modules. Veriforce, ComplyWorks, and others operate in the same space.
In writing, a contractor typically has to provide a set of written safety programs matched to the work it performs (for example hazard communication, lockout/tagout, fall protection, respiratory protection, confined space, PPE, emergency action, drug and alcohol, driver safety), plus a safety manual, training records, OSHA 300 logs and injury statistics, experience modification rate letters, insurance certificates, and answers to a management system questionnaire.
The platforms check that each program contains the elements the client requires, not whether it is implemented; that is left to client audits.
Who has to comply
Contractors, suppliers, and service providers whose customers require a platform subscription as a condition of doing business. The trigger is purely contractual: a hiring client selects the platform and the contractor must meet that client's configured requirements and pay the subscription.

What the assessor asks to see
Contractor profile and scope of work; management system questionnaire; written safety programs for each applicable topic, each containing the elements on the reviewer's checklist (purpose, scope, responsibilities, procedures, training, recordkeeping); safety manual and policy statement; OSHA 300 and 300A logs or equivalent injury data for three years; experience modification rate and insurance certificates; training records and certifications for specific tasks; drug and alcohol program documents; vehicle and driver records where required; client-specific documents such as site orientation acknowledgments; corrective actions for downgraded programs.

How grading works
In ISNetworld, RAVS grades each written program A (all required elements present), B (most elements present), or F (significant gaps), and RAVS results typically account for roughly a third of the overall contractor grade; the rest comes from questionnaire answers, insurance, and statistics against client thresholds.
Avetta uses client-configured modules and flags each as compliant or not, with reviewers pointing out the missing elements. In both, a rejected program blocks work for that client until fixed, which is why contractors keep written programs current across every topic their clients select.
